Vertex plans for a merger with a Taiwan company for its first SPAC
Singapore-listed Vertex Technology Acquisition Corp proposed a merger with Taiwanese live streaming service 17LIVE Inc. and is on a pace to become the city state’s first blank-check firm to acquire a target.
Vertex will acquire 17Live for S$925.1 million, according to a statement released by SPAC.
The proposed transaction represents a significant advancement for the sector in Singapore, which is up against Hong Kong for the title of Asian SPAC hub.
